I started my professional life while studying at the university first as a trainee in the business consulting area of an international consultancy and engineering firm and after as country manager of an Internet startup related to mobile communications. Back to the academy, in a Logistics study center, I had the change to study, identify and collaborate with the most advanced Portuguese initiatives in Logistics, a work that resulted in a published book. In 2002 I joined the Portuguese Government mission group for the development of Knowledge Society, e-Gov and e-Procurement (UMIC) as a project manager. Latter, in 2007, I was able to collaborate on the creation of the Portuguese national public procurement agency (ANCP) where, as coordinator, my main task was to define and implement the procurement strategy for the Portuguese public procurement. Since the beginning of 2011 I'm continuing my job to promote the modernization and innovation, this time from the private sector point of view. Pedro Viana
